Intuition plays a strong roll in the artist's
approach, as he wants to create a piece that
allows viewers to bring their own experience
and thoughts to his work. "It's part of the
reason I don't name anything," says Joel. "I
want people to see my work and embrace any
feelings that come up. I want them to be so
moved that they say that they have to own the
piece."
